ATOM hereby informs you of its Privacy Policy regarding the processing and protection of the personal data of users and customers that may be collected through browsing or contracting services on the website https://atomchat.io/

In this regard, the Controller guarantees compliance with current personal data protection regulations, as set out in Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPD GDD). It also complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons (GDPR).

Use of the website implies acceptance of this Privacy Policy as well as the conditions set out in the Legal Notice.

Principles applied to data processing

In processing your personal data, the Controller will apply the following principles, which comply with the requirements of the new European data protection regulation:

  • 1. Principle of lawfulness, fairness and transparency: The Controller will always require consent for the processing of your personal data, which may be for one or more specific purposes about which you will be informed in advance with complete transparency.
  • 2. Principle of data minimization: The Controller will request only the data strictly necessary for the purpose or purposes for which it is requested.
  • 3. Principle of storage limitation: Data will be retained for no longer than is strictly necessary for the purpose or purposes of the processing. The Controller will inform you of the applicable retention period according to the purpose.
  • 4. Principle of integrity and confidentiality: Your data will be processed in such a way that its security, confidentiality and integrity are guaranteed.

Your rights

You do not need to provide any personal data in order to browse ATOM. The cases in which you do provide your personal data are the following:

  • When contacting us through the contact forms.
  • When posting a comment on an article or page.
  • When signing up through a subscription form (MailChimp).
  • When signing up through WhatsApp.

These rights are exercised personally. You may request access, rectification, portability, erasure or objection by sending an email to info@atomchat.io attaching a copy of your national ID document or equivalent.

Purpose of personal data processing

When you connect to the website, you are providing personal information such as IP address, name, email address and telephone number. This data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Contact forms: To respond to your messages, questions, complaints or concerns.
  • Subscription forms: To manage the subscription list and send newsletters or promotions. The data is held on Mailchimp servers (USA).
  • Browsing analytics: Collection of non-identifying data through cookies in order to improve our services.

Security and Retention

The website is hosted on Amazon Web Services. To protect your data, the Controller follows industry best practices to prevent loss, misuse or alteration. Data will be retained until you request its erasure.

Handling of Google User Data (Google API)

When you connect a Google account to AtomChat, we process the data obtained from Google APIs in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Uses of the data obtained from Google APIs:

  1. Sign-in: we verify your identity and obtain your email address in order to associate the connected account.
  2. Google Calendar: if you connect your calendar, we create, update and cancel in your primary calendar the events corresponding to the appointments scheduled through AtomChat, and we read your existing events so as not to offer time slots that are already taken. Of each existing event we store only its identifier, its start and end date and time, and its title, in order to calculate your availability and to show you the origin of each blocked time slot.
  3. Google Ads: we insert offline conversions into the advertising account that you link, in order to attribute to your campaigns the conversations generated.

Artificial intelligence: the data obtained from Google APIs is not used to train or improve artificial intelligence or machine learning models, nor is it transferred to providers of these services. The use of raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We do not share, transfer or disclose to third parties any user data obtained from Google APIs, except where necessary to provide you with the service, where you expressly authorize it, or where required by law.

Revocation and deletion: you may disconnect your Google account at any time from the AtomChat settings, or from https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. When you disconnect it, we revoke the access credentials and delete the synchronized calendar data associated with that account. You may also request deletion by writing to support@atomchat.io.
